Description:
The Reinforced Average Strategy is a technical strategy designed to take advantage of moving average crossovers. This strategy uses Exponential Moving Averages (EMA) of 8 and 21 as well as a Simple Moving Average (SMA) of 50. The Bollinger bands indicator with a window of 20 and standard deviation of 2 is also used to help identify buy and sell signals.
When the MA(8) crosses above the MA(21) and the close price is above the SMA(50), a buy signal is triggered. When the MA(21) crosses above the MA(8), a sell signal is triggered. The strategy also uses the volume indicator, only triggering a signal if the volume is above 0.
The strategy also includes a stop-loss of -0.2, meaning that positions that reach a loss of 20% of the initial investment will automatically be sold-off. The strategy also supports trailing stop-loss, meaning that positions that reach a certain level of profit will be sold off. The strategy also supports setting a minimal-roi, which is the minimum expected return required before a position is opened.
