Elliotv8 Strategy Performance Results
Description:
This strategy is called Elliotv8 and it is based on Elliot Wave Oscillator (EWO), a trend-following momentum indicator. It uses a combination of technical indicators to identify buy and sell signals. The main indicators used in this strategy are the EMA, RSI, and SMA. Additionally, it uses a trailing stop loss to protect investor's capital.
When buying, it will look for when the RSI is below 35, the EWO indicator is above the threshold set by the ewo_high paramater and the close is below the EMA multiplied by the low_offset paramater.
For selling, it uses two sets of conditions. The first condition used is when the close is above the Hull Moving Average with a period of 50 and the close is above the EMA with a period specified by the base_nb_candles_sell parameter multiplied by the high_offset_2 parameter. The second condition used is when the close is below the Hull Moving Average with a period of 50 and the close is above the EMA with a period specified by the base_nb_candles_sell parameter multiplied by the high_offset parameter.
In order to protect capital, the strategy uses a trailing stop loss set to a negative 0.32.
